The below website is a teacher favorite and has great resources to teach reading phonics and comprehension. For just about every holiday or event you can find complete resources - from reading passages to fun worksheets and quizzes. It is a paid site (which I purchase every year), but you can get the Election Day resources FREE (and everything else) by signing up for a 14 day trial. HACK! When I was teaching and didn't have the money to purchase it, I signed up for the trial and then downloaded a bunch of the resources to my hard drive 😁 . So you may want to download their resources for American Indian Heritage Month, Diwali, Thanksgiving, December holiday resources including Kwanzaa, Christmas, Chanukah, and New Year's. These resources are peer reviewed by experts and historically accurate. It includes fiction and non-fiction at all levels of reading. See the below photo and click here to download the Election Day resources for kids.
Oh, and I downloaded the I VOTED stickers from here.
Happy Election Day! And don't forget to MODEL voting by taking your children with you when you vote (or, video calling for coronavirus!).
